Wasteland

Down on the riverfront in Detroit there is a world of abandoned warehouses.  Since we were visiting with friends and they had their two small children with them we didn’t try to get inside and were content with touring the outsides.  This shot was actually taken through the sunroof of the car.

Did I ever mention how much I love ivy?

Lucky me, there was ivy everywhere.

I used to want a house comletely covered in Ivy. I think that would be so fun. It’s wierd seeing the graphiti in the pictures. It looks pretty. I have never seen pretty graphiti before. Detroit must have some unique vagrants.

I have some buildings down the street from my house that look like this. Those buildings are the remnants of the coal mine that left my town more than thirty years ago. I’ll have to post up some photos sometime to give you a look.
